I’ve teamed up with some crafty mamas to bring you some rainbow fun to brighten your day! ☀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ll need:
🌈 several colors of felt
🌈 sequins or glitter
🌈 yarn and some tinsel yarn 🧶
I traced circles on to felt using 3 different size bowls and cut those circles in half.

Daniel in the lions den... little about a lion, mo Daniel in the lions den... little about a lion, more about God’s faithfulness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Daniel was a man of extraordinary character & spirit, but still thrown in to the lion’s den for praying to The Father. God openly honored Daniel’s faith, sending His angel to shut the mouths of the lions. Daniel trusted God.
⠀⠀
So our talk became less about lions and more about our faith, even in the face of persecution & mocking. It’s the potency of our faith & character that makes the difference in life, not conforming even under pressure.
🦁💙🦁💙
Our learning fun:
— Lion handprint paper bag puppet
— coloring sheet from @thecraftyclassroom
— a lions den {our Charlie Brown peg doll was Daniel 🤭  a sign we need some generic peg dolls}
— watercolor coloring sheets from the Dollar Tree

How do you decide which to keep and trash? 👇🏻👇🏻
🗑RECYCLE♻️
🖍Coloring sheets recycled
+ + +To save on paper, I also print all of our coloring sheets on the backside of used paper. If you know anyone with an office job, they may even have paper destined for the recycling bin they can give you.
.
📦Recycled cardboard/items crafts- Those cookies we made will be recycled. Usually if I dug it out of the trash to create it, it goes back to the trash when we’ve enjoyed it.
.
KEEP:
🖐🏻Handprint crafts - Generally speaking, I keep most things with a hand print. 👉🏻🗂🗂BUT I use a filing system for things we keep and at the end of a couple months, I see what we have and toss anything that isn’t one of those “awh I loved this one!” kind of crafts.
.
💟Salt dough/Clay - I will keep these in our holiday decoration bin. 🎁 We also made some that we gave to other people to use as decorations. We did this when we made felt pumpkin pie bunting in the fall, too. Our fun becomes your problem to figure out how to store later on. 😎 you’re welcome 😎
.
🦒Wood painted crafts - Keep or gift away.
.
📒Anything laminated - Our bible verse heart count down and bible verse conversation hearts we used as decorations, were laminated and I will keep these to use next year.
💝 Seasonal flash cards, printable puzzles, and printable matching sets I file in a 3 ring binder to pull from later.
.
.
.
Anything I purchased specifically for holiday crafting… stamps, stickers, heart shapes, etc…. I will put these all in a bag labeled “crafting” and store it in the bin that we store our Valentine’s decorations in. This way our craft bin isn’t full of holiday craft clutter.
Things that 2 taught me… 2 taught me that our cu Things that 2 taught me… 2 taught me that our culture uses “terrible” too often to describe a child trying to communicate to us.
.
2 taught me the power of homeopathy and remedies to fit behavior struggles.
.
2 taught me the book Out of Control by Dr. Shefali, really is a complete resource to idea of “discipline” + character building.
.
2 taught me that our children are sponges, soaking up their environment and the energy of people around them. It is my job to be aware and cautious of such environments.
.
2 taught me that my life matches my level of trust or fear. When I trust the process, trust what he is here to teach me, and trust that I am everything he needs in a mother, life meets me there.
.
I imagine 3 will bring me more life lessons, I can’t imagine we’re done learning and growing together.
.
And I don’t believe that 3 or 4 or 5 will be “when my time comes”… Life is all about how we respond and how conscious we are to what behavior is trying to reflect to us as caretakers.
.
Thank you for coming to my birthday reflection ted talk. The end.
