Marriage and Wifehood.

Temecula Winery Wedding Day

This time last year I was dreaming of the biggest day of my life. SEPTEMBER 25, 2015!! I remember thinking about how I would have a tree full of wedding ornaments in just one year and how I would be a wife. This time last year I was anticipating my own wedding in just nine months.

With Christmas quickly passing us by and the new year upon us, I have decided to share more… a lot more… photos of our big day! I personally have big plans and goals for our little family this year! As I sit down and map out my goals for 2016, I figured it was only fitting to share photos of my wedding day and a personal thank you to my readers. If there is 1 or if there are 200 of you, I am so blessed and grateful that you even take the time to read what I have to say. I hope you will continue to follow me on this new journey I have started, being a wife!

My wedding day started at about 5:30AM! I woke up, ready to marry my soulmate. I arrived at the bridal suite at Wilson Creek Winery about 9AM, with a detailed scheduled I had finalized days before. Hot tea was a must, the A/C was on full blast in the bridal suite. 🙂 Special delivery came from my groom just before applying my lashes. A complete set of matching pearls to wear on my wedding day!

Before getting ready I made my way down to deliver a boudoir book I put together for Nick. We didn’t see each other but just the touch of his hand was enough to bring tears to my eyes.

A moment with the bridesmaids. These waffle robes in my wedding colors were the perfect touch for this photo opp!! Don’t forget the matching wine glass complete with a glitter stem and gold initial.

Back in the bridal suite before getting in my gown.

It’s almost time. My mother zipping up my gown and the final moments before heading out!

Our bridal party. I chose four shade for my bridesmaids dresses. Eggplant, grape, wine, and lilac. Each dress was a different style. My groom and his groomsmen wore steel color suits. A gold tie for my groom, plum for the best man, and lilac for the groomsmen!

Pre-wedding detail shots!

It’s time to tie the knot!

I wanted a classic, simple gown when I went out wedding dress shopping! I found my dress at Alfred Angelo and my veil was from Facebook! Yes, Facebook. I found a wedding resale page (I am sure they have them for your area, too!) and bought this brand new veil for $60! It was absolutely perfect and one of my favorite pieces of the wedding!

Our grandparents, parents, siblings, niece, and nephew!

Shots of the bride and groom! Our thank you cards included a wallet size print of the photo on the right. I wanted something that matched our theme. We removed the label on two wine bottles and Nick spray painted them lavender. I hand wrote “THANK YOU!” on the bottles! ta-da!

Our grand entrance and first dance!

Our reception decor was perfect!  For our sweetheart table, I found the gold N & A at Hobby Lobby and re-used champagne flutes Nick’s mom gave us when we got engaged! They were perfect, so there was no need to buy another set for the wedding! Each table had a gold mason jar, purple vase, and champagne bottle vase. I found the wood hearts at Michael’s. Nick stained them and we added a white word. Some of the table names were Love, Faith, Kisses, Blessed, Adore… I asked my florist for all shade of purple flowers! A few candle votives were the perfect touch!

Cutting the cake!! I found my wedding cake topper on Etsy!

A wedding isn’t complete without a garter and bouquet toss!

My Dad and my Brother built our photo booth backdrop! I wrote a few cute sayings, hash tags, and our wedding date on scrapbook paper. I cut out each word and glued them to small dowels!

Finally, our wedding guest group shot! Have you ever tried to get 80+ people to look at the camera and smile all at the same time??!?!? It is quite an interesting task!

Everything about our wedding was perfect! Planning my wedding helped me discover a few creative talents. I always knew I loved a good theme, but wedding planning intensified my love for decorating and themes! 2016 has some new things in store! Stay tuned!
