This quick and easy steak salad is a great way to have a nutrient packed meal, enjoy a piece of steak, or even use the extra steak from last night’s dinner.
I first start with fresh spinach in a bowl. Simply put, leafy greens fuel the body with essential nutrients and minerals. Spinach is rich in folic acid and iron. Folic acid is a key components in reproduction and pregnancy. Spinach is also rich in vitamin A, K, and C!
Apples, pineapple, and mandarin oranges are delicious as well if you cannot find strawberries in season!
Second, I add in half of a red bell pepper. As well as sliced strawberries. The strawberries give a sweet flavor when paired with the steak and are an excellent source of vitamin C. Both red foods offer vitamin C which boosts collagen, helping keep skin firm. Yes, please!!
I add fresh basil for added flavor and about 4 ounces of leftover steak from last night’s dinner. A little balsamic vinegar and olive oil is the perfect, light dressing! Enjoy!
