Vinegar cleaner is a natural, non-toxic way to clean your home. The best part is, unlike a lot of commercial “natural” cleaner, it is super affordable. Making your own household cleaner is a great way to save money on cleaning products for your home.

How to Make Vinegar Cleaner
Today I am going to share with you how to create your own rosemary infused vinegar household cleaner. Vinegar naturally cleans surfaces and removes dirt and residue. There are a few studies showing vinegar having disinfectant properties as well.

Scented Vinegar for Cleaning
I know what you must be thinking, “vinegar, really? But doesn’t it stink?” Vinegar alone as a distinct, tangy smell that may not sound as appealing as some of your other scented products. So today, I am going to help you with that by showing you how to infuse vinegar with fresh rosemary! The natural plant extracts not only scent your vinegar, but it also helps when cleaning and disinfecting.
This infused vinegar recipe is more or less a concentrate. When the vinegar is done infusing, simply dilute the mixture when you add it to a spray bottle. The best part, for a few CENTS (yes, cents not dollars) you will have a surface spray to use all over your home.

I encourage you to invest in glass spray bottles to put your cleaner in. Glass spray bottles can be used again and again in your home to clean. I have several glass spray bottles with various cleaners or solutions in them for the house. I keep a bottle of each upstairs and downstairs, as well. You can choose from amber (brown) color or clear color (these are the bottles pictured).

How to Use Vinegar Cleaner
Rosemary infused vinegar cleaner is great for countertops, windows, highchair trays, mirrors, and floors. You can add a little more disinfecting power, you can add several drops of tea tree oil to your rosemary infusion when it is done. If you are looking for ideas on how to naturally clean baby toys, this post here is for you!

I throughly enjoy using infused vinegar cleaners because they are non-toxic and safe. My little one loves to help me clean and because their are no toxic chemicals in vinegar cleaner, he is able to help! I expand a lot on toxic chemicals and how they disrupt out health in this post here.
An important note, DO NOT USE VINEGAR ON GRANITE SURFACES.
